Welcome To The NEW Comic Buyers Website
My favorite hobby was the collection of used and new comics. I bought over fifteen hundred and fifty comics that include first printings, autographed copies and graphic novels. Mostly my collection is super heroes.
Like most young kids, comic books entertained me. Adventures to different planets, different creatures bent on destroying earth, and the heroes who have to conquer the creatures. If you think of all the parts required to write a story, mix the stories around, throw in a pinch of drama, then you have got a great story.
I collected them growing up but never realized the potential market for them. Occasionally I see a comic that I remember seeing as a kid and look at how much the comic book is worth currently. I am shocked and a little mad that I didn’t keep them. At times I discovered signed copies from the artists or writers and would buy those. When Batman and The Dark Knight comics came out I managed to get all 4 1st printings.
Comic collecting can make you money if you hear of a collector that needs the comics that you collected. You need to take great care of the comics when you first get them. The comic books should be saved in plastic bags with a cardboard sleeve for protection. Then they should be kept in a different safe place to protect them from being dropped. Large comic boxes are usually sold at most good comic stores.
The Overstreet Price Guide is used by most comic buyers as the source of determining out how much a comic should be worth. Wizard and Comic Values Monthly are also looked at by some buyers. Ebay is a different way to figure how much a comic can be valued at. The comic books on ebay’s site are graded which makes the comic them safer to buy.
The most difficult part about buying and selling comic is getting somebody else who believes the comic is worth the same as you. Comics are only worth what a collector is willing to give you for them.
